After visiting Copenhagen, we sailed through the Kiel Canal towards our final destination in Hamburg. After they let me drive the boat, which was incredibly trusting considering my driving history... We made a stop in the wonderful sailing city of Kiel.
Hamburg was the last stop on the wonderful trip with John's family. We spent a couple of days exploring maritime museums, churches, the "Hamburg Dungeon", and coffee shops. It was a pretty fantastic way to end the trip and could not have asked for a better end to the summer.
This summer I went with John and his family on an amazing sailing trip through the Baltic Sea and some of Northern Europe. John and I met up with everyone in Denmark where we explored the canals, walked around the city, went to Tivoli, and met up with Victoria, who was working there as an au pair. Couldn't have asked for a better end to the summer!
While we were in Copenhagen, we took a short trip to Helsingør to visit Hamlet's castle and experience Danish life in a smaller town.
